Who is Shawn Hammond?

I graduated from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in May of 2003. I received my license in July 2003 and have been practicing my art ever since then.  Prior to deciding that this was to be my career, I had been an Interior Designer and felt like something was lacking.  I wanted to be able to help people as individuals.  After receiving massage therapy myself for my high stress levels, I decided that this could be something I could really excel at.

I received my Neuromuscular certification from the same school by passing their tough written and "hands on" exams.  I am also a certified Integrative Reflexology therapist and am striving to add on to this list.  I continually exceed the required continuing education hours, because I love to learn and want to be the best I can for my clients.

I enjoy being active in the American Massage Therapy Association.  Being on the front lines of up to date information in the massage field is exciting and keeps me informed.

I enjoy getting out of the massage office and working chair massage gigs.  You can see me at the Tailgate Market in the Plaza Midwood area.  They are committed to providing local area foods and crafts, check them out!

Chair massage goes well with product based parties, bridal or baby showers, small reunions or whatever you can think of!

   I have also brought my chair into various local businesses.  Some corporate clients want to reward their employees, some are willing to set aside a conference room and give employees a 10 to 15 minute break and some are hosting special health related functions to educate employees on a more healthy lifestyle.  If your business or employer would like to offer chair massages to employees, give me a call.
